Klein Independent School District (Klein ISD) is a school district that covers 87.5 square miles (227 km2) in Harris County, Texas, United States. It became an independent school district in 1938. Almost all of the territory is unincorporated; a small portion of Houston is within the district. In the 2018–2019 school year, Klein ISD had 53,328 students. Klein ISD is part of the taxation base for the Lone Star College System. As of 2020, Jenny McGown is Superintendent of Schools.
The district has 32 elementary schools (including a Pre-K designated school), ten intermediate schools, and five high schools. A 33rd elementary school is scheduled to open at the beginning of the 2020–2021 school year. For the 2018–2019 school year, the district received a score of 89 out of 100 from the Texas Education Agency.
Spring Independent School District is a school district based in the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. It is located in north Harris County.
The district serves over 32,100 pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade students in a diverse and growing district located 20 miles (32 km) north of downtown Houston in a suburban area of Harris County that spans 57 square miles (150 km2). The district’s ethnic breakdown is 38.9 percent African American, 37.6 percent Hispanic, 18.6 percent white, 4.6 percent Asian and Pacific Islander and 0.2 percent Native American.
Spring ISD serves a small portion of Houston, and portions unincorporated Harris County including the community of Spring.
In 2009, the school district was rated “academically acceptable” by the Texas Education Agency.

Like most districts in Texas it is independent of the city of Houston and all other municipal and county jurisdictions. The district has its headquarters in the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center in Houston.

Tomball Independent School District is a K-12 education school district serving Tomball, Texas, United States as well as the surrounding area.
Tomball ISD serves students in northern Harris County and southwestern Montgomery County, Texas, including the City of Tomball, Lakewood Grove, Northepointe, Village Creek, Creekside Park Village (a section of The Woodlands), and the communities of Hufsmith, Decker Prairie, and Rose Hill. Tomball ISD is approximately 20 miles northwest of Houston’s central business district and 15 miles southwest of the Woodlands.
Tomball Independent School District is accredited by the Texas Education Agency, which rated it “A – Superior” in 2017–2018.
Tomball ISD is part of the taxation base for Lone Star College (formerly North Harris Montgomery Community College District). The 10,500-capacity Tomball ISD Stadium is the high school stadium.
The Katy Independent School District (KISD) is a public school district based in Katy, Texas, United States with an enrollment of over 85,700 students. As of August 2009, the district was rated as “Recognized” by the Texas Education Agency.
The district serves 181 square miles (469 km2) in parts of Harris County, Fort Bend County and Waller County. Most of the district lies within the boundaries of the City of Houston, the City of Katy or their municipalities’ extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). Unincorporated areas in Katy ISD include Barker, Cinco Ranch, and Cimarron.
All residential areas of the district are assigned to an elementary school, a junior high school, and a high school by subdivision.
Conroe Independent School District (CISD) is a school district in Montgomery County, Texas which serves the cities of Conroe, Cut and Shoot, Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah, and the town of Woodloch. It also serves unincorporated communities, including almost all of The Woodlands, the Montgomery County portion of Spring (extreme south and west parts of The Woodlands are located in Tomball ISD and Magnolia ISD, respectively), the settlement of Tamina, the community of River Plantation, and a portion of the Porter Heights CDP. The district’s headquarters are located in the Deane L. Sadler Administration/Technology Center in Conroe. The CISD area, which covers 348 square miles (900 km2), is part of the Lone Star College System (formerly the North Harris Montgomery Community College District).
In 2005, CISD enrolled displaced Louisianans from the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina who were residing in the Conroe ISD boundaries.
CISD has its own police department of over 41 officers. As of 2007, CISD PD is run by Chief William Harness.
